What's Right For You?:
Unsure of the right boiler for you? we can come and survey your home to find what boiler you need. The main three types of boilers are:
Regular Heating-Only Boilers:
Ideally suited to homes that already have a traditional heating and hot water system which is linked to a separate hot water cylinder. These boilers also need a cold water storage tank in the loft to feed the hot water cylinder as well as a tank that maintains the water level of the central heating system.
This is often the best option for replacing an existing boiler if the property has an older radiator system which might not be able to cope with the higher water pressure that is delivered by system or combi boilers.
A regular boiler is perfect for homes where a lot of hot water is used at the same time.
System boilers include a cylinder for storing hot water. The heating and hot water system is built into the boiler itself, making it easier to install.
As this type of system stores a large volume of hot water ready for use it is ideal for homes with more than one bathroom, providing a constant supply of high pressure hot water to numerous taps and showers. If you have a large family who often need to use the bath or shower at the same time then then a system boiler could be for you.
This type of boiler will require a dedicated space in your home for installation but as it is mains water fed it won’t require a loft tank.
System boilers are also compatible with solar water heating systems.
A combination or ‘combi’ boiler is a high efficiency water heater and central heating boiler in a single unit with no additional cylinder and no loft feeder tank. Combi boilers heat water directly from the mains supply on demand.
They are very cost-effective and energy-efficient as water is heated instantly. An added benefit is that hot water is delivered at mains pressure, which means that you can have powerful shower without the need for a pump.
Compact sizes make combi boilers perfect for smaller properties where space is at a premium and installation is typically cheaper. As there is no bulky cylinder then the boiler can usually be housed in a number of convenient locations, for instance a kitchen unit or within a bathroom.

Fitted a new boiler (and radiator) in our home office whilst we worked in 8 hours flat and at short notice – we know this was asking a lot but it wasn’t a problem! Pleasant cheery workers. Not in any hurry to sell us the most expensive kit just what was right for our situation. The new boiler is on half as much as the old one and our home is toasty! Simple to use wireless thermostat means we only heat the room we’re in which is great if you’re in all day and don’t want to heat the whole house. The engineer set up an annual alert for servicing so we don’t have to remember and the warranty will stay intact!

“Just had a new boiler installed and relocated at my elderly mothers home in Torquay and I highly rate the work. My husband had a career in the gas heating industry (now retired) working within national companies and he was impressed with a local professional business Barnes Warwick Heating Services ltd on how they carried out the work. Fraser who worked tirelessly carrying out the installation is a very polite and mannerly young man creating a work of art with the complex pipe work. The team work between Fraser and Jack Barnes was very efficient and professional, putting my mother at ease throughout the whole experience. The job was carried out to an extremely high standard and I would have no hesitation in recommending their work. I will definitely use their services in the future.”

“A Five Star Service from this company.
Jack & Zac fitted the latest Worcester Greenstar 8000 combi boiler for me.
I had several quotes from leading competitors but Barnes Warwick impressed me most. I had lots of questions before the installation and Jack had the knowledge to be able to provide all the answers.
Becky is always on hand to answer queries too.
They were professional at every stage of the process – punctual, clean, tidy and efficient. They communicated throughout and even set me up on the app to control the heating remotely.
I would highly recommend Barnes Warwick and will continue to use them for my annual boiler servicing.
